An important church for Nafplio's history

One of the oldest and most prestigious churches, it was founded following Nafplio's liberation. It is entwined with the city's history and dates back to the sixteenth century. The funerals of Dimitris Ypsilanti, our first governor Kapodistrias, and Palaion Patron Germanon were performed in this church. Otto paid a visit to the church in 1833. The replica of Leonardo Da Vinci's "The Last Supper" is the most significant of the church's great hagiographies.
