Monastery of the Transfiguration of Christ

The Monastery's Catholicon, or main temple, is located south of Asini and is devoted to the Transfiguration of Christ. Ninety centimetres below the earth's surface, the temple is constructed. Although a dedicatory inscription states that the temple was redecorated with hagiographies in 1570, the interior hagiographies (icons) are from the Post-Byzantine era. The monastery is open for visits and is now private. To reach the monastery, you must walk down a narrow alley after taking a road up to a certain point.
