The ruins of the old Asini, which are located close to the settlement, just outside of Tolo, atop a mountainous cape, are the most significant sight in the village. It offers proof of Asini's kingdom's might and magnificence during the Trojan War. There are remnants of ancient cities and communities, as well as Mycenaean tombs discovered during excavations. Demetrius the Besieger, the ruler of Macedonia, is thought to have built the citadel's walls in 300 BC. The city has two gates: the secondary gate is located in the east, while the main entrance is located in the north. Both the Early Byzantine and the Second Venetian Domination periods saw the restoration of the walls. The citadel was fortified during the Italian occupation.
