The "Ligourio Pyramid" is a minor fortification located 200 meters from the Agia Marina church on the left side of the Argos-Epidaurus road, northwest of the hamlet, at the base of Arachnaion Mountain. There formerly existed a major road in ancient Greece that connected the coastal city of Saronikos Bay with the cities of the Argolida valley at the base of Arachnaion Mountain. Alongside this road, a vast network of outposts provided security. The famous Ligourio Pyramid, constructed in the fourth century BC, is one of several outposts in the Ligourio Valley.
